PA AZ - CGS Biomedical Sciences Articulation Agreement

Qualified graduates of the Biomedical Sciences programs in CGS are guaranteed an interview for the Physician Assistant program under our Admissions Agreement.

Articulation Agreement

This serves to record the understanding between Midwestern University (MWU) Biomedical Sciences Programs at the Glendale and Downers Grove Campuses and the Physician Assistant (PA) Program in the College of Health Sciences at the MWU Glendale campus. Beginning with the class matriculating in the summer quarter of 2027, the PA Program agrees to guarantee an interview to qualified Biomedical Science students from Midwestern University.

Eligibility Requirements

MWU Biomedical Science students applying for admission to the MWU PA Program must satisfy the following minimum requirements:

  1. Achieve a minimum of a 3.55 cumulative grade point average (GPA) and a minimum of 3.55 science GPA (on a 4.00 = A scale) inclusive of both their undergraduate and graduate coursework;
  2. Be in good standing in the academic program in which the student is currently enrolled or has completed the program within the last 12 months prior to the application and does not have any current or pending misconduct charges against the student;
  3. Completion of all prerequisite courses prior to matriculation;
  4. Completion of a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university before matriculation;
  5. Motivation for and commitment to health care as demonstrated by paid direct patient care hours, volunteer work, shadowing, or other life experiences;
  6. Demonstration of service and leadership through community service or extracurricular activities;
  7. Demonstrate oral and written communication skills necessary to interact with patients and colleagues;
  8. Satisfactory Midwestern University criminal background check;
  9. Commitment to abide by the Midwestern University Drug-Free Workplace and Substance Abuse Policy;
  10. Demonstration of personal integrity and sound moral character;
  11. Successful completion of all required immunizations prior to matriculation;
  12. Meet the technical standards prior to matriculation;
  13. Meet any other admission requirements for the professional program of interest;

Note: Students must meet all application deadlines for the professional program of interest. A guaranteed interview does not guarantee admission into the professional program
