Katarina Ivkovic, M.A.
Biography
As a senior clinical research coordinator for Clinical Research Services (CRS), Mrs. Ivkovic’s focus is aiding in the design, coordination, recruitment, and publication of Midwestern’s clinical research. Kat works in collaboration with faculty from the various Colleges at Midwestern University as well as various collaborators such as Cook County Hospital, Advocate Medical Group, and the VA.
Her goal is to aid in the development, completion, and evaluation of clinical trials with faculty and their collaborators. From 2011-2014 Ms. Ivkovic worked at Northwestern University’s Urology department as the Clinical Research Coordinator. Her leading Doctor specialized in Oncology and early detection allowing for various partnerships throughout the University.
During her time at Northwestern Ms. Ivkovic collaborated on device trials with PhDs, national new drug trials, Patient Reported Outcome trials with social psychologists, and dozens of retrospective chart reviews that aided in grant proposal and study development. These studies advanced her skills in GCP, FDA and IRB guidelines, the informed consent process, as well as successful implementation and enrollment study after study. Mrs. Ivkovic’s master’s thesis studied the use and misuse of antibiotics in agriculture and policy- an area she still finds fascinating today.
